Bringing power, prosperity and
progress to the nation

JSW Contributes towards Improving Renewable Energy Production in India

The first phase of SoftBank’s solar project at Bhadla Solar Park, which is also one of the largest solar parks in India, was executed successfully. The Japanese multinational conglomerate company partnered with JSW Steel for the requirement of 3,000 MT coated steel, which was 100% fulfilled. The association promises a bright future for the nation and its people.

The Bhadla Solar Power Project

Spread over a total area of 10,000 acres, Bhadla Solar Park is an arid sprawl in Rajasthan, India. It is one of the largest parks in the country and is believed to be capable of producing 2,225 MW of electricity, once all the four phases of the project are completed.

Currently, JSW Steel along with EPC contractor for the project, Sterling and Wilson, and SoftBank were able to complete the first phase of this project successfully. Besides, the bold project also witnessed the lowest bids, with a tariff of Rs. 2.44 per kWh, for solar in India so far.
