Proud Winner of the Steel Minister’s Trophy 2016-17
JSW Steel, Vijaynagar has proven its mettle yet again by winning the coveted Steel Minister’s Trophy 2016-17 for being the 2nd best integrated steel plant in the country. The company bagged a certificate, a stunning trophy and a cheque of Rs. 1 crore for their exemplary approach, impeccable strategy and hard work.
The trophy was received by Dr. Vinod Nowal, Deputy Managing Director, JSW Steel Ltd. and Shri. Rajashekhar Pattanasetty, President, JSW Steel Vijayanagar Works, in New Delhi. Union Minster of Steel, Choudhary Birender Singh, gave away the award to the winners. The ceremony was attended by a plethora of dignitaries from the Ministry of Steel and the corporate world.

The Steel Minister’s Trophy recognises the outstanding performance of integrated steel plants in the areas of Production, Operational efficiencies, Financial Sustainability, Environmental Sustainability & CSR.
The objective of instituting the award for the integrated steel plants is to give recognition to spectacular performance in this vital sector of the national economy, which draws heavily on resources of capital and skilled manpower. The award is intended to spur these major producers to achieve international standards of efficiency, quality and economy in their operations.
