Spanning 10,000 acres in Karnataka, Vijayanagar Works anchors JSW Steel’s global strength with 17.5 MTPA capacity, cutting-edge steelmaking, zero-effluent operations and a major brownfield expansion driving future-ready growth.
With a capacity of 12 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), the plant spans the full steel value chain from iron ore beneficiation and coke ovens to blast furnaces, BOFs, continuous casting, hot and cold rolling, and advanced coating lines.

Vijayanagar produces a wide portfolio of flat and long steel products that cater to India’s infrastructure, automotive, industrial and construction sectors. Its ResponsibleSteel™ certification and advanced digital systems reaffirm its position as a benchmark in sustainable, technology-driven steelmaking.
