Sustainable Future

Prabodha was appointed as the Group Chief Sustainability Officer at JSW Group from Sept 2019. In his current role, he partners with CEOs, Senior Executives and operations heads to develop and drive sustainability strategy for the group companies. He is having nearly three decades of working experience in the field of corporate sustainability, environmental management, emissions reduction, climate change corporate strategy and policy development.

Before joining JSW, he was working as Senior Vice President for Aditya Birla Group Sustainability responsible for developing and delivering an internal assurance system to ensure that all group companies and business remain compliant to international standards. Prabodha started his professional career in SAIL, worked and managed a variety of Environmental issues from Mining to manufacturing in metal (Iron and Steel) Sector including policy advocacy. After working for more than a decade, he joined Lloyd’s Register, UK and managed the climate change, sustainability and customized Assurance Service for South Asia.

Prabodha holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Civil and Master’s Degree in Technology (M Tech) in Environmental Engineering.

Swaroop joined the Corporate Sustainability Team in April 2021. He is responsible for developing and delivering an internal assurance system to ensure that all group companies and businesses remain compliant to international standards.

Swaroop joined JSW from ERM India Private Limited – the world’s leading sustainability consultancy, where he was a Partner. With over 25 years of experience covering consulting, management systems assessments, and operations for a wide range of industry sectors in India and Globally. Swaroop has previous stints in Lloyds Register and Exide Industries. Swaroop’s core technical areas include the development, implementations and management of Sustainability Strategy, Framework, and performance, including management systems, compliance, and system assessments and assurance, disclosures, and reporting under the various sustainability frameworks and lead and support new initiatives in operational excellence from concept to deployment.

Swaroop is a Chemical Engineering Graduate and has completed his master's in management systems. His hobbies are listening to music and traveling. He enjoys watching cricket and playing chess.

Badal heads the Sustainability Data Reporting & Analysis and Sustainability Framework Management verticals for Corporate Sustainability at JSW Group. His work involves promoting Sustainability initiatives across JSW Group along with internal and external communications related to Sustainability. He works on multiple projects related to sustainability reporting, assurance, policy development, development of the corporate sustainability framework, stakeholders’ engagement, sustainability communications, training and capacity building programs across the Group.

Badal is a metallurgical engineer from MS University and has experience of about 21 years in the Ferrous and Non Ferrous Sectors. He has been involved into various greenfield and brownfield project conceptualization and execution. He is an accredited Project Management Professional from PMI USA.

Badal has been selected & trained under the Future Fit leadership program of JSW Group with Cornell University, USA. He enjoys traveling, music and watching Nature and Wildlife documentaries.

Harshal Limdi is a mechanical engineer from REC, Surat. He has completed his post graduate diploma in finance from Symbiosis Institute of Distance Learning. He is having 22 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, energy management and performance improvement, climate change, environment management, sustainability and digitalization.

He is a GradIRM (Level-3) risk management professional, Accredited Energy Auditor by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), IGBC LEED AP and CMVP (Certified Measurement & Verification Professional). He has worked in Sterlite Copper, TUV SUD South Asia and Aditya Birla Group prior to joining JSW group.

Balasaheb has done his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University. He also holds Advanced Diplomas in Fire Safety & Industrial Environmental Engineering and Industrial Safety. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Legislative Law from (RTMNU), Nagpur.
